BUILDING CAPACITY OF MATHEMATICS TEACHERS
When: Access to the Learning Management System is open now. Teachers are welcome to start any time!
Aim: To build competence and confidence in secondary mathematics teaching.
How: By helping teachers improve their content knowledge and pedagogies in secondary school maths.
Is this course for you? Target groups include secondary teachers, out-of-field, lacking confidence, beginner,
rural, and returning teachers. However, Build Me Up (7-10) is open to all.
The landscape of mathematics education is evolving,
and with a revised curriculum and teacher shortages,
MAV is stepping up to support our schools.
Build Me Up (7-10) is an on-demand professional
learning program designed to empower maths
educators andenhance their teaching practices.
If you are teaching mathematics out-of-field, or simply
curious to gain more expertise – this course is for you.
It’s aimed at secondary teachers but primary teachers
keen to upskill are warmly welcome.
There are 12 dynamic online modules filled with
engaging videos and a wealth of resources, produced
by MAV and presented by leading educators.
The course is accessible, on-demand and self-paced.
